I don't know how, but I manage to snag the most beautiful brides! Seriously, these women are all so beautiful, both inside and out. Lindsay was no exception! Not only gorgeous, but she is intelligent too (an attorney). She and her husband, Nate, truly look like they belong on the top of a wedding cake - both of them, flawless. Their wedding attendants were seriously so much fun and easygoing, as were both of their families! I had a great time working with this incredible couple.
The Details
The day began with the bridesmaids and the brides getting their hair and makeup done while hanging out at the St. Regis Hotel. They enjoyed a day of relaxing and being pampered. The groom and the groomsmen met for lunch, and also spent some time hanging out at the St. Regis.
Lindsay and Nate are a long time couple who were married at the amazing Saint Anne Catholic Church (the same as my husband and I) in July. They had a large wedding of over 200 guests to share in their union. Lindsay's wedding dress was a mixture of romantic, and vintage, but still had a modern touch, and her veil was her "something borrowed" from her sister in law. I love personal details, and Lindsay used family heirloom brooches to attach to her bouquet, making her walk down the aisle that much more special.
Once the ceremony concluded, guests made their way to the reception at the beautiful Junior League of Houston while the wedding party was ushered to the reception in an original trolley. The bride and groom were chauffeured to their reception in a Model T Ford... also used for their getaway at the end of the night! One thing I loved was the consideration of their guests. The wedding was a night ceremony, and guests arrived at the venue just after 8:00pm. They did not wait to eat and drink as the bar and buffet were open immediately. The bride and groom selected a compilation of food stations that were mostly finger foods, including prime rib sliders and crab cakes, among others. When guests entered the ballroom they walked into a grand ballroom with centerpieces that complimented the room's stature and height with tall cylinder vases and curly willow surrounded by clusters of hot pink flowers. The courtyard was also a great space for guests to step outdoors as it was accessorized with several bar highs, flowers, and glass vases containing votive candles hanging from the trees.
The reception was quick to get underway, and guests were eager to get the party started. Lindsay and Nate had their first dance to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," and Lindsay followed with joining her father to a dance to "My Girl." Both songs were sung by the band, Password. Which brings me to the band.... AMAZING! In all of the weddings that I have either been to, or even coordinated, I have never experienced a band who was so awesome! They literally had every person at the reception dancing! I cannot rave enough about them!

In lieu of a cake, Lindsay had the unique idea to have individual tres leches catered from Cordua. Delicious! She still had a cake tier that she and Nate were able to cut into for the traditional cake cutting. Guests loved the individual desserts. After dessert, guests hit the dance floor again, and the band was really in the swing of things. They did a great round of "Proud Mary," and involved every guest in dancing. When people wanted to take a break from the dance floor, they enjoyed taking hilarious photos in the photo booth with some great props! Towards the end of the night, breakfast tacos were put out to give attendants a late night bite. Those went quickly!!
The bride and groom left to being showered in rose petals, and were driven away in the Model T Ford, complete with a "Just Married" banner on the back. However, I don't think the party stopped there....
