2014: The Year of Radiant Orchid
So, the results are in, and the 2014 pantone color will be radiant orchid... so that means get ready to see it plastered everywhere! I knew we were about due for a pantone in the purple family, so my prediction was pretty accurate. If you are getting married this year, and want to incorporate this vibrant color into your big day, you'll find some great inspirations below!
Being in the purple family, this color is great for your floral design, décor accents, and is also a great partner with gold. One of my favorite ways to use this color is in your lighting (hello, great photos)! However, I am going to put it out there that this color can be overused and overdone, so you want to pair it with great accents, and don't plaster it all over your big day - it should be incorporated, but not your signature color.
For more inspiration, check out one of our previous weddings HERE. This wedding in Tyler, Texas features great use of various tones of purple, and includes radiant orchid. Plus, the bride is stunning!
Bridesmaids
A great way to incorporate the pantone color of the year into your wedding is through your bridesmaid's' dressed. Luckily, a great trend is having your ladies all wear different dresses, in complimenting colors and styles.
Lighting
One of my favorite ways to incorporate this trend into your wedding. Your photos will pop... lighting can make ALL the difference!
