Emmahlyn & Cliff {Southern Charm and a splash of Romance}

A touch of grace and a splash of vintage charm made this wedding one of a kind. Emmahlyn is a California girl at heart, but has made a life in Texas with her (now) husband Cliff, and their two amazing children, Madison and Austin. Emmahlyn is a creative mind with a gracious personality, and she definitely had a vision for what she wanted her wedding to feel like, and what she wanted her guests to take away from the celebration.

From her dress, to the décor, to the dessert table, everything about this wedding was chalked full of southern charm. Emmahlyn and Cliff were married under the epic oak tree of Oak Tree Manor. Its branches were adorned with long hanging garland, and as they recited vows, originally written for each other, the couple stood in a circle of soft pink flowers.

A moment special to both the bride and groom was that their children were able to be the flower girl and ring bearer, joining their parents at the alter. It was truly touching, and one of my favorite moments of the ceremony. Their son and daughter were a delight!
As the ceremony ended, guests headed to the reception where they picked up escort cards held by bud vases and flowers, personalized to each guest. They also were offered a variety of flavored lemonades in mason jars, including raspberry and strawberry, complete with fresh fruit. Guests enjoyed h'or dourves and cocktails as they mingled amongst each other.
Walking into the dining room, guests were transported. Emmahlyn truly created a vision of romance and soft southern appeal. There was a lounge area of vintage furniture, over sized ivory and pink balloons, poms, and bud vases galore. The cake table was amazing with three different cakes, each with a mint color and 3 different tiers and a pink strawberry flavor. Next to the cake table, was another dessert table that had macaroons, cupcakes, and donut holes, all in mint, pink, and gold. The donut holes were even presented in an antique suitcase.
Along with individual flowers with the escort cards, the guest tables were topped with ivory linens and groupings of small vintage vessels and bud vases containing dahlias, spray roses, white scabiosa flowers, and Queen Anne’s lace.

When Emmahlyn, Cliff, and their wedding party arrived (ready to get down), they were introduced into their reception to none other than the Chicago Bulls theme song as a run out! (I told you they came ready to party)! The reception was off with a bang, and once it got started, it took on a life of it's own! Guests enjoyed a tradiotnal Texas barbeque dinner (delicious), and lots of cocktails before the dance floor was opened. Once it was time to dance, Francisco (Elegante Entertainment) definitely kept EVERY guest on the floor!

This wedding and reception definitely one that appealed to every guest, every age, and every interest. Guests were able to enjoy a soft romantic scene, but also able to grab a drink and hit the dance floor! I absolutely loved getting to be a part of Emmahlyn and Cliff's special day. Both of them were such a pleasure to work with, and Emmahlyn was a charming and beautiful bride! I wish them many years of happiness!
